BMS International is a young company founded in 2016 by twins, Benjamin and Maxime, with the fierce desire to become major competitors in e-commerce in France, Europe and the world. In less than 3 years, the small start-up is growing exponentially, without fundraising, and is getting stronger with the recruitment of a shock team to support the two founders. Mauritius is their new destination and they are yet to surprise us.

The place is located on a corner on one of the busiest roads entering La Croisette at Grand Baie. This condition was used to give visibility to the intervention from different angles and at different times of the day. The panels that make up the corner volume, which can be appreciated by both pedestrians and vehicle drivers, allow the facade to be approached from the streets. The black out blinds help to achieve optimal opacity in the office when meetings are being held. The leisure spaces remain visible for the overview beauty of the mountains and nature. Materials were carefully chosen such as the corrugated metal sheet. The strategy of using a material widely known in the field of architecture in a completely renewed way offers many possibilities for a bolder interior. The everyday becomes innovative when a "corrugated" sheet (metal or plastic) appears used vertically, as opposed to its traditional horizontal form.

For this project, I was dealing with four young clients who wanted a concept that reflected their era and cool attitude. The challenge becomes real when you need to satisfy 4 persons. It was however, an opportunity to be playful, I had the chance to experiment with 5 different colours. The space as it is today is very bright and colourful. Each meeting room has its own identity and colour code. They also wanted a cinema room for their leisure moments. Having said that, BMS has its own personalised table tennis table in the office entrance with their logo printed on it. The floor is very spacious with 2 wash rooms, a kitchen, a lounge area to read and relax, 5 meeting rooms, a conference room, the Manager's office, an announcement area, an open space for board games as well as a large area with 40 workstations.

MY ROLE IN THIS PROJECT:

Assigned as the Interior Architect in charge of the interior from conceptualisation till the final stage. I was also dealing directly with the construction workers, suppliers and clients.
